Insomniac Donated $120,000 Between 3 Charities After EDC Las Vegas 2016

If you’ve ever attended an Insomniac event, you’ll know that we love to help others. So, in classic Insomniac fashion, three amazing Las Vegas organizations were selected to receive funds from the 2016 charitable giving initiative as part of Insomniac Cares.

Insomniac Cares donated $40,000 each to the Emergency Medicine Resident Research Fund, Injured Police Officers Fund, and the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. The funds were generated based on EDC Las Vegas 2016 attendance: $1 per ticket transaction and $10 per guest list allocation.

“Thanks to all the incredible Headliners who celebrated EDC’s 20th anniversary this year,” says Pasquale Rotella, founder and CEO of Insomniac. “We were able to collect thousands of dollars in ticket and guest list donations for Insomniac Cares. It’s an amazing feeling to give back to some of the groups that do good work in the community.”

The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF) offers financial, emotional and educational support for families stricken by childhood cancer. Specifically, Insomniac’s NCCF donation will benefit Project A.R.K., a team of professionals providing customized care and services for critically ill children and their families. Insomniac employees also paid a visit to NCCF’s Camp Cartwheel late last month to take a facility tour, interact with campers, and learn more about the program.

The Emergency Medicine Resident Research Fund supports resident researchers at the University of Nevada School of Medicine—especially those operating within the school’s Emergency Medicine Department. The Injured Police Officer’s Fund (IPOF) provides police officers and their families with financial assistance in the event of injury or death, and has aided thousands since its establishment. We are proud to once again provide support for these two incredible organizations, both of which have been recipients of Insomniac Cares donations all six years of EDC Las Vegas. Insomniac Cares continues to make positive impacts on the communities and neighborhoods that are home to our events. Since 2011, the program has donated more than $1.4 million to over 30 nonprofits, both local and international.
